Our contemporary 'York' throws will change the way you think about blankets. Manufactured for us by the world famous Hainsworth Mills who have been producing woollen cloth in Yorkshire since before the Battle of Waterloo, Hainsworths are one of the few vertical mills left in England and their cloth has an unrivalled reputation for luxury and design.
Still specified today in military uniforms for the armed forces and members of the Royal family for State occasions such as Trooping of the Colour they combine centuries of experience with modern techniques. Our York blankets and throws are a new departure from tradition and in this cloth the mill has utilised the Merino Wool fibres in strikingly new way to produce a blanket weave with a difference. Using two special weaves, these modern blankets have a lighter construction than normal and a subtle quirky stripe that runs throughout the cloth... All of which translates into a beautiful texture that is so light, so lovely that it drapes superbly and totally exudes refined design and sophistication.
