Wear Your Wellies With Pride | National Welly Week 2017

National Welly Week 2017 takes place from Saturday October 28 to Sunday November 5. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the R.A.B.I. – a charity which supports farming families. The funds raised from Welly Week go to support their work in rural communities, something we at Englana feel really strongly about, given our own rural location and heritage.

One of the first ways in which you can show your support for Welly Week is simply by wearing your wellies to work. The Englana team will be doing so this week and all images can be shared with the campaign via the hashtag #wellweek2017. There are multiple ways in which you can extend your participation of the week, however, as we are looking forward to following some of the fundraisers online: It might be a tractor pull, welly-wanging competition, sponsored welly walk, welly week pub crawl or a spooky Halloween night with witches in wellies. Which would you choose?

Make sure you donate as well – for the funds are vital for the continued work that is being done in rural communities.

“Donating by text is easy. All you need to do is text RABI18 followed by the £ sign and the amount you wish to donate to 70070. For example, texting RABI18£1 will donate £1. You can also donate over the phone, so give our fundraising team a call on 01865 724931. All donations, no matter how small, enable us to continue supporting farmers in financial difficulty.”

It would be nice donating during the Welly week. Rural farmers need to be supported; their immense work is responsible for the food we have on our tables.
